What to do in the face of anger

Jesus did not seek revenge.
Luke 4: 28-29 “And all they in the synagogue, when they heard these things, were filled with wrath, And rose up, and thrust him out of the city, and led him unto the brow of the hill whereon their city was built, that they might cast him headlong.
Luke 4: 30 “But he passing through the midst of them went his way.”
I repeated the last entry, Luke 4:28-29, to remind us of what was happening when this entry, Luke 4:30, occurs. He announced who He was and those who heard got angry enough to threaten His life. In response to their threats, He simply walked past and away from them. When I am threatened, I want to go on the defense, seek to change other’s minds, or defend myself. When I follow Jesus’ example, I too go my own way and do not seek to get revenge or change. Like Him, I do not need to stay around and be mistreated. I can remove myself from a threatening situation.
