Finding balance between responsibilities and personal needs.

Jesus got into a boat to escape the people pressing upon Him and then He taught them from there.
Luke 5: 1-3 “ And it came to pass, that as the people pressed upon him to hear the word of God, he stood by the lake of Gennesaret, And saw two ships standing by the lake: but the fishermen were gone out of them, and were washing their nets. And he entered into one of the ships, which was Simon’s and prayed him that he would thrust out a little from the land. And he sat down, and taught the people out of the ship.”
Jesus had a work to do; teach the people. He also had a problem; the people pressing in on Him. He found a way to take care of His responsibilities and Himself by moving away from the crowd into the boat. I can follow Jesus’ example by taking care of myself and my responsibilities. Sometimes it will take creative thinking to find a solution to balancing my life, sometimes I’ll need the help of others (like borrowing Simon’s boat) but, I can feel good about finding that balance like He did.
