Jesus placed God above the stuff of the world. His example can help us set our own priorities. Besides what good are the devil’s promises anyway?

Matthew 4:9 -10 “And saith unto him, All these things will I (the devil) give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me. Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.

 

Jesus called disciples to help him.  We can use the principal of delegation in our own lives. We don’t have to do everything by ourselves. We can get help from others and God.

John 1:43 “And the day following Jesus would go forth into Galilee, and findeth Philip, and saith unto him, Follow me.”
